Panasonic Soundslayer could be another similar choice. I think in your case you can consider any soundbars that have HDMI IN port.Ĭreative Sound Blaster Katana V2 might work since you can connect via USB. But unfortunately I didn't do enough research to know that HDMI-ARC has it's limitations and jumped ship and got my current setup. Looking at the SONOS ecosystem it just looks so nice and clean.

I was on the same boat as you because I wanted to enjoy Dolby ATMOS surround sound with my PC as well. Hope this helps with your final decision, cheers~

Or I can go the HD Fury Arcana route but since it's pricey, I'd rather use the money to upgrade to the LG C2 since I see great reviews and OLED just looks absolutely stunning. I think my best solution would be to upgrade the Monitor to LG C2 TV(w/HDMI-eARC) and get LPCM 5.1 for gaming. I can get surround sound for gaming if I force Dolby ATMOS on but the delay is really annoying. I believe it's because almost all games output LPCM(uncompressed) and due to the HDMI-ARC port's limited bandwidth I can only get Stereo PCM. I've lurked around many posts and troubleshooted for very long but still can't fix it. I'm able to enjoy music and movies but when gaming there's a slight audio delay if Dolby ATMOS is turned on. Sound format: Dolby ATMOS(compressed via Dolby Digital Plus), DTS, Stereo PCM : SONOS Beam Gen 2 + SONOS One SL x 2(5.0 surround setup)

: Samsung Smart Monitor M7 32'(basically a TV with HDMI-ARC port) I'll share my current setup for your reference. Sound format: In theory you can get Dolby ATMOS(uncompressed) but a bit pricey option.

After that, you can leave it alone. For multichannel PCM audio (up to 5.1) and Dolby Atmos, you must connect it from your dedicated GPU to your soundbar.įor Dolby Atmos on Windows, you will need to download the Dolby Access App (from the MS Store), go to Products, and click on Dolby Atmos for Home Theatre set-up. It is strongly recommended required to run the initial set-up in the S2 App. Yes, it will work but it will be very basic.
